General Hospital Spoilers tease Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is going to sit down with her good pal, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), soon and she won’t be able to hold back in sharing her joy. She has a daughter! She has a second chance to be a mother — and she won’t waste a moment. She’s intent on proving to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) that she can be trusted and a good mother to her.

Curtis is delighted for his dear friend, and he might even chime in about how excited he is to start a family with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). However, when the conversation turns to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and the secret she kept that Nina was Willow’s mother, Curtis will be shocked and disgusted. His response to Nina’s situation is going to offer up many parallels for Portia to hyper focus on that make her feel more paranoid than she’s comfortable with.

Nina can’t stop smiling from ear to ear. Although her grief is paramount right now because she is scared to death she’s about to lose another daughter who is most certainly the only other child she will ever have, her heart is still beaming just knowing Willow is her daughter. When she tells Curtis how naturally the love for Willow flooded into her heart the moment she found out she was her child, he’s going to empathize and tell her he can only imagine how amazing that must feel.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Carly Spencer Is A Sore Point

Of course, Nina is going to fill Curtis in on what Carly did. Keeping that secret was one of the most painful things Curtis can imagine going through, and he won’t make any excuses for Carly. That doesn’t mean Portia won’t though, which might leave him confused when she gets a bit too worked up over it later, just like she did recently with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) when discussing Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews).

General Hospital spoilers show Curtis could go out of his way to remind Nina not to focus on Carly right now and to only let the love she feels for Willow fill her up. That might make Portia feel like Curtis could be willing to overlook her own inclination to lie to him for the last twenty years. Wishful thinking? Probably!

When Portia and Curtis discuss Nina’s situation later on, Portia is going to take the role of devil’s advocate a bit too seriously. Why is she so defensive, and what is it about Carly’s behavior that she finds worthy of defending or redeemable in any way?

Curtis won’t shy away from reminding Portia that Carly has a certain reputation, and messing with a DNA test is as illegal as it ever was when you don’t have someone’s consent. This could lead Portia to think taking a page from Carly’s book and testing Curtis and Trina without their knowledge could be the best way to put her own paranoia to rest.
