Ozzy Osbourne Pledges To ‘Get Back On Stage As Soon As Possible’

Few days after the “Iron Man” singer Ozzy Osbourne announced his indefinite break from touring due to health issues, he vows to do everything in his power to make sure he gets “back on stage as soon as possible.”

The “Psycho Man” singer took to his Twitter and Instagram account on February 1 to announce to his fans the cancellation of his upcoming European/UK farewell tours scheduled to hold in Finland, in May.

Ozzy Osbourne — Ozzy Said He Misses His Fans

Speaking in an interview with Music Bible Billboard, the “Crazy Train” artist shared his pain of having to stay away from his fans for so long because, to him, his fans have always been there for him, supporting him, and understanding his predicament that led to the previous postponement of these tours.

“My fans. That’s the thing that I really miss about not doing gigs. I’m a hands-on guy. I like talking to my fans. I miss them terribly. My goal is to get back on stage as soon as possible,” said Ozzy.

Ozzy, 74, also took the liberty to mention that his children Kelly, Jack, and Amy Osbourne—and his grandchildren are currently with him in America, and he wouldn’t be very much surprised if they decided to travel with him to UK.

The music legend said, “Our kids are over here [in America] at the moment, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they follow us back at some point. Kelly’s just had a little baby boy, Jack’s had a little baby girl, so all our grandchildren, we’ve got like five grandchildren now.”

Ozzy has had countless health issues since his near-fatal quad-bike accident in 2003. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that same year, and in 2019, he got injured again while at home and sustained a spinal injury.

Ozzy Osbourne — Ozzy’s Tour Cancellation Statement

Ozzy let the world know of his diagnosis in 2020 after suffering Covid. After undergoing three different surgical measures for his spine, he was told that his body is too weak to engage in traveling to perform, hence the cancellation of his tour.

His lengthy statement reads, “This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans. As you may know, four years ago, this month, I had a major accident, where I damaged my spine.”

“My one and only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage. My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak,” continued Ozzy.

“I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realisation that I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/ UK tour dates, as I know I couldn’t deal with the travel required. Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really F***S ME UP, more than you will ever know.”

Ozzy Osborne – Thanks Everyone That Has Stood By Him

The Black Sabbath frontman went on to add, “Never would I have imagined my touring days would have ended this way. My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.

Ozzy concluded his statement by thanking everyone that has stood by him. “I want to thank my family…. my band…. my crew…. my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course my fans for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never dreamed that I would have
