General Hospital Spoilers: Cameron Discovers His Mother Helped Esme

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is not off the hook as much as she’d like to believe she is. Elizabeth might have been relieved to hear from Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that she could get off scot-free from any involvement with Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) hostage situation if she just rolls over on Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and turns him in.

But Nikolas’ welfare isn’t the only person she has to think about. Although her children would have found out anyway if she were to confess, Elizabeth hasn’t really stopped to think about how furious Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) might be when he finds out she was helping Esme instead of turning her in to the PCPD all that time.

General Hospital spoilers show Elizabeth has heard Finn out and understands his points. It was almost good enough to convince her not to confess, but she can’t handle the anxiety of living with this secret and knowing Nikolas or Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) could go back on their word and blow up her life at any time. Elizabeth wants to be free of the mental chains that are binding her to Nikolas, even if it costs her everything. Her career as a nurse will likely be over, and her sons could lose their mother for the rest of their childhood years.

GH Spoilers – Hint She Tells Cameron Webber Too Late

While Elizabeth has certainly worried that her children will be left parentless, and likely shoved upon Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to take care of them in her absence should she have to serve time in prison, Elizabeth didn’t take much time to consider how her sons would feel about what she did. When Cam learns that his mother was holding Esme hostage instead of ending the search for her by turning her in, he will be furious. On the heels of being betrayed by his best friend and then-girlfriend, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), finding out his own mother has been working against him will send Cam reeling.

It’s not a far stretch to imagine Cam will blame his mother for the crumbling of his relationship with Joss.
