Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Is Salem Taking A Page From Port Charles’s Storyline Playlist?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of February 20th offer hope for Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall), and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow). While the woman has been suffering a devilish nightmare in purgatory, fans have also wondered how the show would bring these ladies back from death, and into Salem again. Alas, there seems to be a way and for those who watch General Hospital (GH), this new Days storyline will seem all too familiar.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Ladies Are Cryogenically Frozen

DOOL spoilers suggest that the three ladies won’t be locked in purgatory forever. In fact, this week’s Days weekly preview seems to hint that the women are cryogenically frozen. During the video, one of the ladies questions if they are still alive, and an unknown man’s voice confirms they are. The video ends with Marlena, Kayla, and Roberts in a lab and “sleeping” in what appears to be three respective cryonics capsules.

DOOL spoilers for the week of February 27th hint the ladies will “wake up” to a new nightmare. It’s clear that the women will end up alive; however, they’ll have their fair share of obstacles to getting back to the ones they love.

While in the past, Days has used Dr. Rolfe and his magic serum to bring back many a dead character, it seems as if they are pivoting this time around. While cryonics was touched a bit upon during season two of Peacock’s Beyond Salem, will it be used more in the future? It’s also probable that the ladies returning from purgatory and their “frozen” state will likely be linked to Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) comeback. After all, he was part of the Winter preview with Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) and was in a similar cryonics capsule, too.

With that said, General Hospital (GH) has used this storyline a lot in the past. In fact, the Cassadine Family was obsessed with everything frozen for decades. From Drew Cain to Stavros Cassadine, Elena Cassadine, and others, the go-to angle to bring characters back to life has been cryonics. Will DOOL fall into that same path moving forward? It is an easy way to explain a dead character popping back up into the land of the living. After all, the show has exhausted every other idea at this point!

At the end of the day, the remaining four soap operas often recycle and reuse each other’s storylines. From evil twins to baby switches, mixed-up paternity tests, and love triangles, each show often “steals” an idea from their competition. It’s the nature of the business, and this isn’t a new thing in the least.
