General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Accepts She Won’t Be A Mother To Her Child — But Who Will?

General Hospital spoilers hint Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) isn’t going to be taking care of her baby. Her worst fear that she would be separated from her child — is coming true. For one reason or another, Esme got the wild idea that she would be taking her baby, Ace Cassadine, back to prison with her at Spring Ridge. It’s unclear whether Esme will be placed back at Spring Ridge or thrown into a more secure facility, like Pentonville. Regardless, neither accept newborns. Ace is going home with someone else — but who?

General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Collins Is A Good Fit

Esme knows she can’t be there for her son, and it breaks her heart. She truly seems to have turned a corner in forgetting who she was and the heavy spell her birth father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), seemed to have cast over her. Esme genuinely wants what is best for her baby boy and she can’t imagine anyone she knows would take better care of him than Laura Collins (Genie Francis) would.

It’s only been a month or so, but Laura has been a stable source of support and comfort for Esme when she had no one else, and she won’t forget that when it comes time to name the person she hopes will take her son under their wing and mother him.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Victor Cassadine  Has His Own Angle

Of course, General Hospital spoilers show Laura isn’t the only option in town when it comes to caring for Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) child — although she did bridge that gap last time with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Still, she has a lot on her plate being the Mayor of Port Charles.

Ace might fit better with someone else who has the time and energy to devote to raising a child from birth. Some fans suspect Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will try to step in and claim the rights to baby Ace just so he can scoop up some Cassadine cash at the same time, but there are a few other options who would make for a better parent, and Victor is certainly no replacement for a loving mother.

General Hospital Spoilers — Another Mother Figure Could Be Waiting In The Wings

Could Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) be willing to step in and raise Nikolas’ baby at Wyndemere, despite their divorce and estranged status? It might alleviate some of her guilt over allegedly killing Nik if she did. Speaking of guilt, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is harboring quite a bit of that herself. She might feel relieved to take on the job of raising Ace — and she knows a thing or two about rearing good young men.

However, Esme could request that her former nanny, Maggie Fitzgerald (Heather Olt) take on the task, too. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out who stands up for Ace as Esme is taken back to prison.
