The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) on high alert when he hears Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) proposes marriage to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Bill’s actions make no reason or rhyme and he vows to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline Macinnes Wood) he’ll do anything to protect them.

Finn, along with everyone else can’t understand what’s gotten into Bill-has Sheila drugged him, brainwashed him, what? Does he have a brain tumor that’s altered his sense of reality or judgment-he won’t go to a doctor to be checked, even though that has been suggested to him. His sons have talked to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) about a judicial commitment on Bill, but there’s no evidence he’s tried to harm himself or others.

Bill is acting like these horrible decisions he’s been making are his new normal, and everyone else will simply have to adjust. Finn and Steffy are trying to protect themselves and Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris) from Sheila, and he vows to keep her away.

B & B Spoilers – Prioritizing His Relationships

Finn sets about prioritizing his relationships, and even though he’s always put his family first, he does even more so now. Sheila may be his birth mother and he understands that, but he cannot afford to trust her, given the things she has done just since she’s been in LA. Cutting off a toe and trying to fake her own death by a bear attack is just simply sick-and Finn was surprised that police forensic technicians bought it. Finn decides he has to pay his birth mother a visit and make sure that some very clear-cut boundaries are established and they will be enforced.

Finn goes to talk to Sheila at Bill’s house, and makes it crystal clear to her that because of her past, there’s no future for a relationship with him and Hayes. He’s not talking about her distant past, he’s talking about what he and Steffy and his adoptive mother, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) have endured.

He was willing to give her a chance when she first came to town and showed up at their wedding, because he knows that people’s pasts don’t always define them.

But the truth of the matter is, whether Sheila felt she was pushed into shooting Steffy and running Li into the harbor off the bridge, she did those things. How does he know that there’s not a pattern of being pushed into dangerous behavior when she feels like her back’s against the wall-it’s happened too many times already!
