The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is attempting to frame Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for her murder. The diabolical plot she is leading was masterminded by Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Phyllis is not normally the type to allow another person to let her take the fall. But that is exactly what is happening.

Jeremy is playing the aggrieved widower, repeatedly pushing a marriage certificate into everyone’s faces. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) grabbed the supposed legal document and ripped it up. But that did not help Phyllis’ son release his grief.

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) is devastated. She thought the increasingly bad news about her mother would end when Phyllis pulled through her sudden malady.

But part of Jeremy’s scheme involves an elaborate ruse that included an ambulance crash and deadly fire. Phyllis and the ambulance driver were said to have perished.

However, it just so happened that a vile of Phyllis’ blood was taken and secured. That sample survived the crash and fire. Poison will be revealed to include poison.

Y&R Spoilers – Why Would Diane Jenkins Poison Her Enemy?

Jeremy and Phyllis are counting on everyone believing Diane was far out of her mind. The apparently demented Diane poisoned Phyllis, potentially doing so during the choking session in the Genoa City Athletic Club suite, or at least appears to be the setup.

But why would Diane poison her enemy? Well, she will be positioned as being so far gone that logic was thrown out the soapy window.

Phyllis’ intensity primed her as the person to attempt to get rid of Diane. So, their reversal story is intriguing.

Phyllis felt abandoned by her children. She felt Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) allowed himself to be fooled by Diane because of Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) feelings for and forgiveness of his mother.

By participating in such a heinous hoax, Phyllis is breaking the trust of her children. While everything is potentially repairable, this comeback will take time.
