General Hospital Spoilers – Freeform’s Good Trouble

“Good Trouble” returns on January 15 on Freeform. It is a spin-off of “The Fosters” and follows the characters Callie Adams Foster (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana Adams Foster (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on adulthood in Los Angeles.

Callie works as a clerk for a federal judge while Marianna tries her luck in the tech industry. They are both forced to deal with the harsh realities of the sectors they’re in. As they move into The Coterie in Los Angeles, the sisters realize that living on their own in the big city isn’t as easy as they initially thought. They come across new friends and romances but they have to rely on each other.

Congratulations are also in order for Hughes as she recently became a member of the Directors Guild of America. The actress shared the good news in her Instagram post. She thanked several people who helped make this possible. She acknowledged Frank Valentini, Joanna Johnson, Bradley Bredeweg, Susan Flannery, and Nigel Lythgoe.

The prestigious guild represents the interest of both film and TV directors in the United States and other countries. Originally called Screen Directors Guild in 1936, the group merged with the Radio and Television Directors Guild and changed its name to Directors Guild of America.

The guild does not only serve directors but also the directorial team members including unit production managers, assistant directors, associate directors, stage managers, production associates, as well as location managers. These individuals may work in media like TV, film, documentaries, sports, news, commercials as well as other emerging forms.

It offers a range of training programs and successful applicants will get the chance to work in the TV or film industry on select projects. The DGA hosts the Director Guild of America Awards yearly and it is the precursor to the Academy Awards.
