General Hospital Spoilers: Does Spencer Already Know His Dad Wasn’t Dead, Was He In On It?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) might already know his dad wasn’t dead and that he might have even been in on it; that might be the reason that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hasn’t been in a big hurry to contact Spencer!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Tried To Fake His Death Before Cassadine Island

General Hospital viewers will recall that Nikolas tried to fake his death before Cassadine Island, and that infamous backward dive out of the window after Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) shot him! He even planted what looked like a body below Wyndemere on the rocks next to the ocean, but he didn’t fool anybody, and Spencer was in the loop that time, so why wouldn’t he be in the loop this time?

Even if Nikolas himself didn’t reach out to Spencer, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) might have! Spencer, at that time maybe around nine years old didn’t seem to be quite as devastated as he should have upon hearing that his father was dead – he was more about trying to get his money back from Valentin! Oh, he would go on about missing “Father” in his melodramatic way, but he didn’t seem to really be grieving him – as a matter of fact, not a real tear was shed!

It is almost certain that Spencer has known his father was alive all along! In fact, Spencer was involved in a play at Camp Showbiz and when Valentin tried to take him and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (at that time Billy Miller) rescued him, he admitted to Sonny that his father was alive – but it was Sonny who told him that Valentin wouldn’t be taking him to his father after he asked where “Theo” was, who had just been arrested, and it was at that point he did act the part of a little boy whose father had died.

But it could have been an act; Spencer, as General Hospital viewers know, can be quite the actor! Spencer may have been keeping his father’s secret again just like he did before when he faked his death and Nikolas didn’t take Spencer with him that time either!

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Kept His Survival Secret From Everyone For Their Own Safety And Probably Instructed Spencer Cassadine To Do The Same

Why Nikolas didn’t think his mother and his sister couldn’t keep his survival a secret for their own safety and yet he thought Spencer could, is a mystery, but maybe he raised him to keep secrets – after all, secrecy is a Cassadine trait. Laura recently was upset with Nikolas for “acting like a Cassadine”, but he is one and so is Spencer! He probably trained Spencer in the Cassadine ways.

Viewers can easily draw parallels between Nikolas going out and doing his own thing around Port Charles and nearly getting caught several times, to the consternation of Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) who had been hiding him in his home, and Spencer as a minor just getting a plane ticket and coming to visit Grandma Laura in Port Charles any time he wanted to, and it is an international flight at that!

Where was he getting his money to pay for those tickets, surely Laura had restricted his access to any trust fund that was set up for him! Then there was that expensive bottle of champagne that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) got supposedly from Spencer! It’s doubtful Nikolas would have sent it! And why – does Spencer have a teenage crush on her?

      i really hope so that way Laura and lulu can enjoy family reunion they got really upset more important they got upset for Spencer sake for Nikolas not telling his son he’s alive I really hope so for Spencer sake he probably really hurt his father didn’t tell him

      No. I do not think that Spencer knew that Nikolas was alive. He was constantly in Valentin’s face over the death of his father. Laura had to send Spencer away because he had become obsessed with taking down Valentin to get justice for his father.
