Prince William has not spoken publicly about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down from the Royal Family. However, William reportedly told a friend that he is saddened by the “Megxit” decision and the fact that they are now “separate entities.”

For the past several months, there have been rumors of increased tension between William and Harry. Then, a New Year’s post from Sussex Royal indicated that Harry may have considered smoothing the rift with his brother.

Unfortunately, it seems that the gap between brothers will only widen, according to The Sunday Times.

“I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that anymore; we’re separate entities… “All we can do, and all I can do is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page. I want everyone to play on the team.”

Prince Charles Issues a Threat

Royal news reveals that Prince Charles is not happy with Harry and Meghan’s announcement. Although Harry had reportedly been chatting about the option to step down since Christmas, he was asked not to say anything publicly. Not only did he do the opposite, but he issued a formal statement with his and Meghan’s signatures on it. Then, he posted it all over social media.

The palace couldn’t issue much of a comment due to being blindsided. What they did say was vague and just insinuated that more details would come at a later time.
