Where Was Eminem During His Daughter Alaina Scott’s Wedding

The pictures from the epic wedding between the “Without Me” rapper’s daughter Alaina Marie Scott and her longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller have been having quite the buzz.

The ceremony which took place at the Packard Proving Ground Historic Museum in Shelby Township, Mich, on Friday, June 9 brought a lot of questions as to the whereabouts of Alaina’s father Eminem on his daughter’s memorable day.

The beautiful photos from the ceremony which was shared by Alaina on Monday, June 12, on her Instagram did not in any way feature Eminem nor leave any hint that the rapper (born Marshall Bruce Mathers III) was anywhere near the event.

Something like that can’t escape the fans’ notice as it didn’t take long for the post to be flooded with comments like, “Where’s Marshall?” and, “Not me zooming in to look for Eminem.”

Following the buzz surrounding Eminem’s absence in the uploaded photos, the newlywed told PEOPLE on June 15 that although her father didn’t appear in the photos she posted, he didn’t miss the occasion even for a second.

Alaina told the outlet, “I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn’t going to miss that.” She went on to say, “These are once-in-a-lifetime moments and I’m just so grateful to be loved the way I am by everyone.”

Alaina further buttressed, “None of this would have been possible without my dad. I’m beyond blessed. Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives.”

Alaina’s “Great Gatsby glam”-themed wedding also had her sister Hailie Jade as the maid of honor, and the ceremony which the 30-year-old described as “super untraditional,” had 125 guests in attendance because they didn’t “allow many plus ones.”

The rapper’s daughter also told that outlet that her memorable day was all her doing. “Our wedding was something out of a movie, I planned the entire thing, down to every last detail.”

She went on to share how she “Even customized napkins of our dogs with the phrase ‘Our parents are married!’ It’s just very rewarding to see all your hard work come to life.”

For her big day, Alaina rocked a mermaid-style gown with off-the-shoulder draping and a glamorous tulle train, designed by Katerina Bocci. She also had her father’s brother Nathan “Nate” Kane Mathers, perform “Slide On Over” on that day.

This means that the Instagram user who commented, “Y’all stop. I’m positive her dad was there, he’s very respectful of his children and letting them have their moments. I’m sure she has pictures with him too, but they are private, not for all of you vultures,” during the buzz was right after all.
