“I think Liam, in his heart, kind of respects Thomas in a couple of ways, and one of those ways is something he’s never been able to do, which is unparalleled commitment.”

On the other side of the coin, there are also some aspects of Liam that Thomas wishes he had. These include Liam being so easygoing and being a genuinely good guy. It makes the character lovable and he enjoys life. All of these things are who Liam is and Thomas is slightly envious of that.

“He’s so focused and stubborn that he doesn’t allow himself to enjoy life, which is something that Liam is able to do. That’s a fun contrast that speaks on-screen, even if it’s not in the dialogue.”
