New Updates On The Final Yellowstone Episodes

Yellowstone spoilers, news, and updates tease that the final remaining episodes of Yellowstone may be extended into 10 episodes instead of 6. According to reports, Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan said that 10 episodes could wrap the series up. He added that it will be long as it needs to be until the series is really concluded.

Yellowstone Season 5 has already aired its first part. It originally has 14 episodes and it has already aired the first 8 episodes for the first part. So, it leaves us with the remaining 6 episodes which are yet to be released.

To recall, the release of part two of the fifth season has been delayed because of scheduling issues. It was denied, but Kevin Costner allegedly cannot commit to more shooting days because he is busy with another project. Another reason for the delay could be the ongoing WGA strike.

It is still not confirmed, but at least now, we have news of the upcoming final episodes of the series. And on a more positive note, they added 4 more episodes.

It was also recently announced that Kevin Costner will be replaced by Matthew McConaughey in the extension of the Yellowstone series. No details have been released yet but it will be released shortly after the series finale episode of Yellowstone is premiered.

It means that even though Yellowstone is about to end, the Dutton story that many fans have loved will continue. It was too bad that Kevin Costner is not going to be a part of it anymore, but the storytelling will still continue.

Taylor Sheridan also reportedly spoke with Kevin Costner about his exit. He said that Kevin really wanted to focus on his passion project and he said that they could work on a certain schedule.

He also added that Kevin’s film seems to be a great deal for him and he wanted to shift his focus into it. And he hopes that it was worth it and that it is a good one.

But Taylor didn’t deny his disappointment. As mentioned, Kevin has been a great part of what Yellowstone is now. He even won a Golden Globe award last year for his role as John Dutton.
Taylor also assured that fans wouldn’t be disappointed with the series finale even if some of the circumstances have changed.
