Sometimes revenge is best served on a royal platter, as they say. There’s some speculation that suggests Kate Middleton might actually be cackling behind the scenes over all the reports suggesting that Meghan Markle’s brand and her Sussex empire might be crumbling. Here’s what you need to know.

As many royal fans are aware of already, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in 2020 simply because they wanted to become financially-independent royals.

At first, it seemed like their plan was working. They managed to sign multi-million dollar deals with Netflix, Spotify, and Random House.

Well, fast forward to the present time and with the exception of Harry’s book, Spare, the Sussexes produced very little content. They only completed one docuseries for Netflix and one season of Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, for Spotify.

That was perhaps one of the many reasons what the online streamer decided to cut ties with the Sussexes and kill their $20 million deal. For Spotify, one reason of a podcast just wasn’t enough seeing how they were in contract for nearly three years already.

What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

If there is one person who might have seen all of this coming from several miles away, it might be Kate Middleton. After all, there’s a reason why she kept her distance from Meghan Markle during the last few times that she had to see her in London.

Clearly, there is no love lost between the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex as the future Queen of England wants absolutely nothing to do with her sister-in-law. Plus, what was she thinking when she and Harry cut ties with the royal family to try and become larger-than-life celebrities with their royal titles intact?

Clearly, Meghan should have known better or at least should have tried to follow Kate’s example rather than try to one-up her during each opportunity that she was given.

Meghan would be counting her jewels right now rather than counting her pennies in the hopes that she can make her next mortgage payment on her Montecito mansion.
