It is fair to say that Hope and Steffy shoulder some of the responsibility for enabling Liam’s me-first approach to the relationships he had with each of them. But Steffy has moved on and told Liam in no uncertain terms.

So, Liam has decided he does not want to give Hope any time. That also means he does not hold himself responsible for being part of the dynamic that pushed her to Thomas.

Kudos to Steffy on several plot points. First, she did not overreact to Liam’s kiss in Rome, Italy. It was something she could accept based on the circumstances and their deep history.

Secondly, she responded with proper scorn when he kissed her again, days later, at the cliff house. How Liam of Liam to do that?

Steffy’s matter-of-fact tell to him about John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) being her husband and the father of her youngest child was right on, to borrow a phrase from pop culture in past decades. That stopped any notion Liam had of reviving the dysfunctional triangle before it started.
