General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Steve Burton could be on his way back to the show as Jason Morgan, but he could do double duty like Wally Kurth.
Wally said on a recent podcast that he thought Steve would be back to GH soon, and he plays on both GH and Days of Our Lives as well.
General Hospital Spoilers: On Days Of Our Lives Now, But Maybe Back To GH
On the podcast, Wally said Steve is on Days of Our Lives now, but that he thought he’d be back on General Hospital as Jason soon.
On Days of Our Lives, Steve reprises his first soap opera role as Harris Michaels, a Navy Seal who has been brainwashed to basically be a hit man.
It’s very similar to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) having been brainwashed by Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).
Wally also does double duty on Days of Our Lives as a lawyer, Justin Kiriakis there and as Ned Quartermaine/Eddie Maine on General Hospital. Because DOOL tapes six months ahead as opposed to six weeks ahead on GH, that would give time for Steve to play both roles if called back to play Jason.
GH Spoilers: Steve Burton And Wally Kurth Both Have Time For Extracurriculars
Fans who follow Steve and Wally outside of watching them on the soaps know they both have time for “extracurriculars” so playing two parts on two soaps is no big deal. In Wally’s case, he has a real life music career, right now in a band with others from Days of Our Lives called “The Day Players”.
Steve has a podcast and also a touring schedule with Bradford Anderson who plays Damian Spinelli called “That’s Awesome”. The podcast features Steve and Bradford interviewing various coworkers from the shows and the touring is a comedy show.
Bradford has to be the comedian to Steve being the straight man, of course, and they too used to tour in a band-“Port Chuck”.
General Hospital Spoilers: If Jason Morgan Returns It Will Probably Be A While
If Steve does return as Jason, it will probably be a while, perhaps during a November sweeps. General Hospital is still on broadcast and not only streaming like Days of Our Lives, so ratings and sweeps are important.
With twin Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in Pentonville Prison three years barring a miracle or overcrowding, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could be faced with a choice.
What if Jason returns alive-will she forget about Drew, or not go down that road again? All kinds of interesting possibilities could come up!

Someone needs to be in PC that can help Sonny return to some point of normalcy. If Jason had been around none of the messes Sonny has gotten himself into would have occurred. Sonny has been smart, but everyone regardless of how smart needs a voice of reasoning to help at different avenues in one’s life. Would be good if Jason could return but don’t bring him back for nothing but a possible Carly reunion. Don’t feel Jason/Drew could ever make the true bond most twins have due to them not being brought up together and then when finding each other problems were presented. If both Drew/Jason are to be on canvas at the same time, allow each to have a story of his own with no over lapping of life events.
If the intention is to bring Jason back for Horly I’d just as soon he stay gone. Absolutely hated that pairing. Made me gag everytime they kissed.
But absoluty loved he and Britt as a couple.. To bad they killed Jason off and Britt died…
