For the first time in a long time, she recently turned to her ex-father-in-law Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for advice. This is huge, considering their past.

They’ve both been through a lot over the years, and both have betrayed one another to the point of disdain. However, it looks like they could finally be over their feud and ready to become friends again. Could they get to the place they once were at?

Victor and Sharon were once quite close. The Moustache acted as a father figure to the blonde decades ago when she was first with Nick and for many years after the fact. While Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) always had a tumultuous relationship with Sharon, Victor always seemed to have a soft spot for her.

In 2012, the two got married, not once but twice. The first was out of convenience, and the second one was a bonafide relationship. Back then, there was a ton of backlash from fans, and the actors themselves weren’t overly fond of the storyline.

What was a beautiful bond between father-in-law and daughter-in-law was tarnished. Once they split, their friendship crumbled.

Y&R Spoilers: A Lot Of Time Has Passed

So much has happened since 2012. Sharon has healed considerably and is a shadow of her former self. She’s evolved into a strong woman, with a conscience. While the two may never get to where they once were, it does look like they are re-establishing a friendship.

The Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) situation helped bond them, and in many ways, has helped bring Nikki and Sharon closer, too (not to mention the blonde’s battle with cancer some years ago). But, can Victor and Sharon re-establish their father-daughter bond again?
