Coronation Street Spoilers: Ruxandra Porojnicu Reprises Role On Corrie

Ruxandra Porojnicu confirmed that she’s reprising her role as Alina Pop on “Coronation Street.” Her comeback is going to be part of a bigger return. The actress expressed her excitement in returning to the show and hinted that more drama awaits Seb (Harry Visinoni) and Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell). She also dropped clues of a possible love triangle.

“I’m personally very excited to be able to tell Alina’s story further. She was in love with Seb, and now he’s with Emma, so it’s exciting to see what’s going to happen.” Porojnicu said in an interview with Inside Soap.

Porojnicu first left in August when the modern slavery storyline came to an end. She reprised her role just before the holidays. She showed up on November 11 looking for Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni). She left right away after Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) lied to her when she said that Seb and Emma were engaged.

Coronation Street Spoilers For Next Week

Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) suffers a miscarriage. She’s supposed to go with Gary Windass (Mikey North) to Bristol to see Zack Morris (Keegan Baker). She’ll be forced to stay behind as she starts to feel unwell. She starts to feel dizzy and when she notices that she’s bleeding, Maria calls Ali for help. She’ll be rushed to the hospital, where she’ll learn that she has lost her baby. It will also be revealed that she contracted measles, which may have caused the miscarriage.

When Gary returns home, he’ll be welcomed with the upsetting news, which will leave him devastated. Gary will try to console Mariah but the latter will blame herself for what happened. She’ll have a hard time to cope with her miscarriage since it also brought back painful memories of losing her son back in 2008.

Later on, it will be revealed that Maria contracted the measles from Bertie. Many will be angered by Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) negligence especially when they learned that he failed to have Bertie vaccinated. When Gary gets hold of the news, he will be furious. He’ll confront Daniel and he’ll blame him for Mariah’s miscarriage.

Meanwhile, Daniel blames himself for putting Bertie’s life at risk. As he goes through the emotional stress, he’ll grow closer to Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), who’ll support him through these tougher times. Later in the week, he mistakes her for Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) and leans in to kiss Bethany.
