Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Brandon Beemer, who plays Shawn on the hit NBC soap, says that it feels great to be back. As many fans can recall, he first made his debut on the long-running soap back in 2006, which is probably one of the reasons why it feels so much like home.

Brandon told the publication, “It’s a lot of fun to feel that you are needed for something specific, as opposed to just going in for exposition or something.

It’s nice when you actually have some activity. And Rafe and Shawn do team up together to figure out how to get rid of Princess Gina and make sure that nobody gets harmed in the process.”

What’s more, Brandon also says that while he loves coming back and working with the cast and crew of Days of Our Lives – most of whom he considers his own family – this was also the first time that he got to work with Kristian Alfonso with her alter ego, Princess Gina.
