How to get revenge on Kevin Costner? Not easy. But the actor’s estranged wife Christine Baumgartner found a way. And she picked one of Costner’s closest friends, Josh Connor, with whom to run off to Hawaii, insiders told In Touch magazine.

However, when the Oscar-winning Yellowstone star discovered the news, he reacted strongly. And a source shared that Kevin now hesitates about getting close to anyone.

Christine’s decision to enjoy an alleged revenge romance with her estranged hubby’s pal took place in mid-July. And while she enjoyed wearing a bikini on a beach in Hawaii, Costner reportedly suffered.

“Kevin doesn’t know what to think or who to trust,” summed up an insider. And the source described the Yellowstone actor as feeling “sick over it.” However, Costner’s estranged wife didn’t win all the battles in their divorce. 

Kevin Costner Wins Right To Boot Estranged Wife From Estate

The 68-year-old Yellowstone actor devoted the past few weeks to battling Christine over two issues. First, Kevin fought the mother of their kids Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 over child support. (Costner fathered four other children with two other exes.) And second, the actor warred over living arrangements. 

However, Kevin finally agreed to pay his estranged wife more than $129,000 a month. But the actor won a battle in getting the right to boot her from their Carpinteria, California, estate. And that created problems when Christine at first reportedly refused to leave.

But the insider also revealed where the divorce wars stand at this point. And while Costner scored in getting the right to force his estranged wife to leave their California estate, Christine won a war of self-image in jetting off to Hawaii. And the source described the actor’s estranged wife plotting her vacation with Costner’s close pal as a “huge slap in the face.”

Reflecting on the outcome, the insider admitted that the Yellowstone star feels “stunned that Josh, whom Kevin has known for years and considers a very good friend, would go on vacation with Christine. Kevin’s being told there’s nothing going on, that they’re strictly friends,” added the source. “But he finds that hard to believe. If Christine’s doing this to upset Kevin, it’s working.”
