Earlier this year, the two young stars started a romantic story when they found comfort with each other amidst their personal issues.

During his interview with ITV’s Loose Women, producer Iain MacLeod opened up about the young romance inspired from the iconic duo, PJ and Duncan.

“That’s what we’re hoping to do – obviously both of those actors are so talented that they might very well be off to Hollywood by the time they’re 14.

But if we can keep them, we’re trying to PJ and Duncan them up,” he uttered.

In the previous episodes of the longest-running soap, the two popular young characters took their friendship to the next level.

It all started when Sam asked Hope out on a date and he appeared at her apartment door wearing a formal suit.

They decided to become a young couple and grew closer than ever until Eliza stepped foot on the cobbles.

When Sam befriended the newcomer, Hope got furious and found some ways to tear them apart.

She even sabotaged Eliza’s birthday party when she started a fire during Sam’s science experiment. Following the incident, the young man expressed his disappointment to Hope and decided to call it quits.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Jude Riordan Reveals Sam Blakeman And Hope Stape’s Future Storyline

Recently, Jude Riordan had his photoshoot for the Inside Soap Awards 2023. During the event, he hinted about his character’s upcoming storyline with Hope Stape.

“Since Sam and Hope broke up, there’s been a space between them, but as it goes on, they’re going to start getting closer together again,” he told Digital Spy.

He also shared their good times off-cam alongside their costars, Savannah Kunyo and Billie Naylor, who play Eliza and Ruby respectively.

The young actor was recently nominated for the Best Young Performer at the Inside Soap Awards.

When asked about his thoughts regarding the matter, Riordan stated: “I don’t make it a big deal but it’s just a nice feeling to be nominated.

If I win, that’ll be great but just being nominated is amazing.”
