Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Clyde Weston Tried To Get Ben Weston To Escape And Go On The Run With Him Before, But Ben Declined

Clyde tried to get Ben to escape and go on the run with him before, but Ben declined – when he still had that one more appeal left. When he lost the appeal, and with his execution date looming, it looks like he may take his dad up on the offer this time – while still, with Ciara Brady, (Victoria Konefal) trying to exonerate himself.

Ciara feels like she has let Ben down by barking up the wrong evidence tree, but at least Will Horton (Chandler Massey) has an out if he wants one! Still, Ben is not sure if he wants to live the life of a fugitive, because there would always be police looking for him and they would consider him just as guilty as before, and if he escaped and was captured, the execution may be instantaneous – by a bullet!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Clyde Weston Is Certainly No Father Of The Year But He Still Doesn’t Want His Son To Die!

Clyde is certainly no father of the year, but he still doesn’t want Ben to die, and especially not by being executed for a crime he did not commit! Ben will be torn. He won’t want to leave Ciara to go on the run with Clyde, but maybe Clyde has another idea; instead of go on the run with him, the two spilt up and go their separate ways – and Ben take Ciara and they two go on the run and maybe get fake IDs and try to make it across the border into Canada. From Illinois, Canada is much closer than Mexico!

Meanwhile, Ciara is still working on another theory she has – and trying to see if she can find and access the original police report that Detective Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) filed about the broken window at the gatehouse earlier in the day that Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Shause) was killed. Maybe the person who broke the window was the one who killed Jordan, and there is record of fingerprints or other evidence Rafe may have taken at the time.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers:  Clyde Weston Keeps Pushing

Clyde will keep pushing until he gets a yes – there is no other chance for Ben at keeping his life than to escape; he’s out of appeals, so even if new evidence came to light that Ben wasn’t the one who killed Jordan, it may not be possible to reopen the case in time. Sometimes it takes years to get a court date and then there is the time to even get an initial court date to examine new evidence, although possibly Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) could use the evidence as a basis for a stay of execution. Even that takes time, and it may not be time that Ben has!
