It looks like Meghan Markle doesn’t have to worry about losing any of those lucrative contracts with the likes of Spotify or Christian Dior. That’s because she can easily make money – and maybe even more – on social media. There’s a new report that suggests the Duchess of Sussex can demand up to $1 million per Instagram post, should she decide to get back on social media. And from the looks of it, there’s a very good chance that she might relaunch her old lifestyle blog, The Tig. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Can Easily Make Up To $1 Million On Instagram
According to the Daily Mail, PR expert Eric Schiffer believes that the Duchess of Sussex is going to be seeing dollar signs – and a whole lot of it – when she decides to get back on Instagram.
He told the site in a new interview, “I would expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram. You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $1 million and up for a single post promoting a product. There is no reason Meghan couldn’t be earning those sorts of fees.”
And while Meghan Markle herself hasn’t made any comments about the matter, some eagle-eyed fans have noticed that someone – and maybe the Duchess herself – had secured the Instagram handle @meghan last month.
So far the account has almost 820,000 followers but without one single post on it yet.
Meghan Markle Might Have The Most Popular Account On The Gram
Schiffer added though that Meghan will have to be careful as she doesn’t want to look like she’s “Hawking every product under the sun.”
He continued, “She will align with quality brands and companies that are on point with her political and social beliefs.”
Now, whether or not Meghan will jump back on the horse and get back on social media is anyone’s guess, but she and Prince Harry have not been on Instagram ever since they pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in 2020.
As full-time royals, they used to have an account under the handle @sussexroyal. The account has remained dormant for the last three years.
