This Hollywood Actress Is Being Criticized For ‘Admiring’ Meghan Markle

It seems like for most people, they are better off keeping their thoughts to themselves, especially if those thoughts are about Meghan Markle. There’s a new report that says one Hollywood actress is getting heavily criticized just because she went on the record to say that she “admires” the Duchess of Sussex. Here’s what you need to know.

Actress and singer Audra McDonald is a huge fan of Meghan Markle and she’s not afraid to show it. But a lot of people think that out of all the people in the world to admire, Prince Harry’s wife is the last person that should cross anyone’s mind. But not for Audra.

She admires the former Hollywood actress for managing to put on a brave face despite all of the hate that she gets from trolls online and from the British press. 

While being interviewed for Vanity Fair, Audra was asked which living person she admired the most.

Audra was quick to say Meghan Markle’s name and then explained, “I don’t know how she continues to walk through this world with the grace, strength, and purpose that she does given the unbearable amount of vitriol and hate she has been subjected to, but she does. I wish she didn’t have to.”

It goes without saying that many royal fans and critics sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “Of all the living people in the entire world, of all the Black women in the world, who she claims are her heroes, she admires Meghan.”

But another person also said, “Audra is not well known beyond the US theater community, so I highly doubt this will have any impact at all.”
