A Pilot and Passengers Get Stranded on Christmas Island On Hallmark Channel

Love may be in the air in the new, upcoming movie, Christmas Island on Hallmark Channel. Starring Rachel Skarsten and Andrew Walker, the film is set to debut as part of the network’s annual Countdown to Christmas programming event. Rachel Skarsten and Andrew Walker get stranded on Christmas Island

According to Hallmark’s official synopsis, Kate Gabriel (Rachel Skarsten) is a talented commercial pilot who is excited to spend her holiday break flying the Sharpe family on a luxurious vacation in Switzerland. Moreover, she hopes this gig will turn into a full-time job as their private pilot.

However, during the flight, a snowstorm forces Kate to make an unexpected landing at a small airport in the Maritimes of Canada. While Kate is hesitant to divert the plane, Oliver Macleod (Andrew Walker), the Air Traffic Control Officer in charge of guiding them to safety, insists that it is the only option.

Meanwhile, Kate and the Sharpes are hosted by families in the nearby community of Christmas Island, where people are renowned for their hospitality. However, to keep her dreams of a full-time job alive, Kate must ensure the increasingly anxious Sharpe family will find their holiday spirit and embrace the local holiday traditions.

Much to Kate’s chagrin, it turns out Oliver and his family and the community organizers of the beloved Christmas festivities. They are forced to team up to help the Sharpes discover the joys of the Maritimes. Meanwhile, the festivities include the Lobster Trap Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony that honors local fishermen who have passed.

Through their experiences on Christmas Island, will Kate’s efforts, aided by Oliver and the local traditions, help to bring the holiday spirit to the Sharpes? Moreover, will Kate discover that romance can be found in unexpected places?

Where have you seen the cast before?

Rachel Skarsten, who plays the pilot, Kate, is known for her roles in Batwoman and The Royal Nanny. Meanwhile, Andrew Walker, who plays Oliver, has been seen in many Hallmark movies, including Three Wise Men and A Baby and, more recently, in A Safari Romance.

Currently, other casting details have not been revealed. However, we can tell from the photos for the movie that Britt Loder (The Good Doctor), Peter MacNeil (Open Range), Jefferson Brown (Carrie), Kate Drummond (Heartland) and Lincoln MacNeil (Made for Revenge) star in undisclosed roles.
