Season 11 of When Calls The Heart (WCTH) has already begun production. And because it began in late July, a SAG-AFTRA waiver allowed producers to continue. However, When Calls The Heart filming for  each season usually ends in the middle of November. But it still might end later this year than usual, according to Carter Matt.

However, some fans have observed that filming this year seems much more secretive. And that relates to the SAG-AFTRA strike rules about promotion. But the key question remains: When will WCTH season 11 debut?

Because of delays for so many shows related to the strike, When Calls the Heart season 11 could premiere earlier in 2024 than this past year. But thus far, Hallmark has held to the promise of a return at some point rather than give a specific release date. 

WCTH Spoilers – Erin Krakow Teases Season 11

However, Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) served up some teasers for When Calls The Heart season 11. And though some fans questioned the season 11 cliffhanger, Erin defended Elizabeth ending her engagement to Lucas (Chris McNally). The WCTH star called it a “really good, authentic, challenging, emotional story” via Movie Guide.

And Erin noted that When Calls The Heart wanted to tell the tale of two individuals who hold onto “a very deep love for one another.” But at the same time, both desired to behave in a way that seemed authentic. As a result, she feels that the cliffhanger represented the right choice for WCTH.

And Erin reassured fans worried that the season 10 finale meant that McNally would not appear in season 11. “We’re not gonna lose Chris McNally. I mean, he’s fantastic. I can’t imagine that. Our show just grew and changed when we brought in Kevin [McGarry] and Chris,” she shared.

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – Who Stars In Season 11?

But WCTH spoilers reveal that Lucas will return with the solution to a mystery. And that ending to the cliffhanger reportedly will occur early in season 11. As for what happens between Elizabeth and Nathan, the plot could thicken before it resolves. But watch for clues when more spoilers become revealed.

The season 11 cast for When Calls The Heart will feature Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton), according to Parade. And WCTH will follow Elizabeth figuring out her life as a single parent to her beloved toddler Jack in the wake of her husband’s death. But watch for drama with regard to Elizabeth’s relationship with Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry).

Because Hope Valley’s Mountie, Nathan Grant, keeps his eyes on his niece, Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller), Nathan can relate in some ways to Elizabeth’s feelings about single parenthood. However, while Nathan feels open to love, Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) also adores Elizabeth.
