British royal family news reveals there was a point in time when it looked like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were chummy with President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

Or, at the very least, that the Markles desired to forge a connection. It’s been quite some time since the couples have been in each other’s orbits, but to be truthful, Harry and Meghan have been ostracized by pretty much every VIP they once coveted.

In April Meghan signed on with exclusive talent agency WME, and they have yet to find someone who wants to do business with her. How the mighty have fallen.

Royal News – Where did the Markles Go Wrong?

In the beginning much was made of the similarities between the two couples. Harry and Barack are relatively young with a down to earth manner.

So maybe it was inevitable that the two couples were seen together in public. According to TheList.com, in 2017 Barack was seated next to Harry at the Invictus Games, which is pretty rare air.

In 2019 Meghan interviewed Michelle for British Vogue, during that time striving Meghan labeled Michelle her “friend.”

So why did the couple-mance cool off? Here are a couple of instances which indicate the Obamas are as displeased with the Markles as is the rest of the world.

Royal Family News – Birthday Party Snub

Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party was historic, with luminaries such as George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, etc. invited to help the former president celebrate. But Harry and Meghan were not present.

According to royal expert Angela Lavin, the Markles were not even in consideration for the guest list. Another royal pundit, Phil Dampier, pointed that the Markles being denied access to the Obama’s inner circle “was a major snub.”

He told the U.S. Sun “it would have been the perfect networking event if Meghan has political aspirations.” And we all know she does.

The outlet reports that way back in December 2018 Michelle was in London on a promotional tour for her memoir “Becoming” when Meghan Markle pushed her way backstage to intrude on Michelle.

In his book “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors” Tom Bower claimed that Michelle was not impressed with Meghan and scolded her: “Take some time … and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.”

Then, after the couple dissed the royal family during the infamous Oprah interview Michelle made it a point to tell Today host Jenna Bush Hager “None of this is about us in public service — it’s about the people that we serve” and many interpreted her remarks to be a rebuke to Meghan and Harry’s treatment of his family.
