Phyllis Newman Spied On Chance Chancellor And Adam Newman In Las Vegas And Know Their Secret

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Phyllis spied on Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) this last time they went to Las Vegas and had a waitress put a bug on their table. Phyllis learned the deep dark secret that Adam had killed someone, although it did seem to be in defense of Chance. This knowledge will set off a whole host of repercussions for Chance, Adam, and even Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) – the repercussions, of course, is caused not by Phyllis knowing the secret, but by Phyllis herself because of the secret she knows!

She needled Adam about what she knew the first chance she got when they all returned from Las Vegas, telling him he was busted and “what happens in Vegas, dies in Vegas”. Adam, usually suspicious, doesn’t have time for Phyllis’ mess and ignores it, figuring she’s just stirring the pot and doesn’t really know anything. Phyllis tracks him to the bar, and alludes to her own “very grand” plans and mentions she thinks Chelsea will do anything for Adam. Then Chance heads for Abby with a surprise, and Phyllis needles him.

She tells him she hopes that the rumors aren’t true, as she alludes to a potential lawsuit on the part of Grand Phoenix guests who were there for the Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) fiasco. Then she sees Chelsea walk in with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). She gets Chelsea by herself and offers her a proposition, in which Chelsea’s not interested – Phyllis snaps that she should be unless she wants Adam to go to prison!

Nick Newman Interrupts An Argument Between Phyllis Summers And Abby Newman At The Gala

At the gala, Chance takes Abby aside and tells her that Phyllis has dirt on him and Adam – Abby figures that Chelsea sold her Grand Phoenix shares to Phyllis because she was blackmailed by Phyllis over the dirt. Abby goes to Phyllis and angrily confronts her – Nick sees the argument, and when Phyllis storms away, he approaches her and since he likes to tease her, he teases her about the argument and whatever they were arguing about, he’s sure that Phyllis was to blame!

He knows she likes to stir the pot and figures that’s what she was up to, as Adam had incorrectly assumed earlier. Later, out of the blue, she just comes up to Nick and kisses him – he’s a bit blindsided, but intrigued! The two exes love to flirt with each other, but that kiss – it has an unexpected effect and seems like the start of reconciliation!
