General Hospital spoilers report Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is finally back on solid ground with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and he wants to stay there. He was genuinely thrilled to watch his father marry Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

He may have chosen practically anyone else in the world for his dad to settle down with, but he does want him to be happy — even if it’s with someone he can’t stand.

But learning that Nina is actually the petty culprit lurking in the shadows and setting Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) up to go to prison was the last straw for Michael.

He may not be willing to blow up his relationship with Sonny right now while it’s still in such delicate territory as they try to rebuild, but Sonny could force him to if he doesn’t see the light on his own soon.

Still, Sonny forgave her and jumped into bed with her the first chance he got when he thought his marriage to Carly was over.

GH Spoilers – Tease Michael Corinthos Is Triggered

As Sonny continues to see only the good in Nina and none of the bad, it could bring Michael to his breaking point. Will he blurt out the truth because he just can’t take it anymore?

Hearing over and over again how much Sonny loves Nina and how good she is for him isn’t going to land the way Sonny wants it to when Michael knows the truth — and knows his father doesn’t. Will he be encouraged to change that even if it means letting go of the leverage he has over Nina right now?

Soap Opera Digest has already confirmed that the truth is going to come out about Nina sometime this fall or winter. So it makes sense that it might come from Michael, since he’s the only party who knows right now.

Still, there is time for Nina to try to redeem herself and tell Sonny on her own. That could set off a similar chain reaction though — and one in which Michael is left feeling like his dad forgave Nina’s transgressions once again, regardless of whatever she does to his family.
