Kylie Jenner Makes ‘Trash Move,’ Accused Of Stealing Ideas For Her New Clothing Line

Kylie Jenner has become accustomed to criticism. But the hot new controversy claims that the reality TV star actually stole fashion concepts to use in her new clothing line.

Find out what Kyle reportedly did to get a fashion designer riled. And keep reading to discover if it impacted her sales.

Kylie Jenner – Angers Fashion Designer

Did she or didn’t she? Kylie Jenner faces allegations of ripping off the ideas of a fashion designer to create her own clothing line. And Betsy Johnson, the designer who made the allegations, called it a “trash move,” reported PopCulture.

Johnson works as a designer with Products Ltd. And watching Kylie make money off what Betsy views as her own concepts made her furious. As a result, the designer turned to social media to sound off.

“We emailed Kylie and all her team @products.ltd concept and language and a line sheet 6 MONTHS AGO. INTERESTING CONCEPT KYLIE:…INTERESTING,” slammed Johnson. And she added, “Thanks for the co-sign. F**k your support.”

Kylie Jenner – Ripped Off Fashion Ideas?

But the rant from Betsy Johnson just kept going. And the fashion designer posted evidence of how she paid off her student loans. “While I stare [at] my student debt. Worked my a*s off for this. Like so many other working-class kids who bust their ass for expertise they weren’t born into to realize their ideas,” added Betsy.

However, Johnson also slammed Kylie’s partner for KHY, indie brand Namillia. And she described why she feels that the Products Ltd concept served as Jenner’s stolen inspiration. But Kylie keeps claiming that her own ideas created the KHY brand.

And Kylie insisted, “Creatively I have such a strong vision of what I want to look like and what I want to do and what I want to wear. There’s really no one telling me what to do.” And the launch on November 1 includes “faux leather pants, coats, tops and base layers.” Jenner has made her products available in a full range of sizes.

Kylie Jenner – Sells $1 Million In Clothing Line’s First Hour

Meanwhile, it appears getting called “trash” made no impact for Kylie. And within the first hour of her Khy clothing collection launch, she made $1 million in sales. As a result, the company sold out of the faux leather trench, mini-dress, and Moto gloves, reported People.

Kylie created her vegan leather looks in collaboration with Namilia, a Berlin-based designer known for leather clothing. And the first release offered 12 items. However, the second collection will arrive later this month.

And Jenner, 26, put the emphasis on her involvement. “I want people to know how completely involved I am in this,” stressed Kylie. “From original concept, to designing, or co-designing if we’re working with other designers, from picking fabrics, colors, I’ve been in every fit meeting. I am the creative director of the brand and marketing. There’s not an Instagram post or video that hasn’t been personally edited by me, there hasn’t been an Instagram post that I haven’t posted myself.”

But Jenner also shared that she does her own creative work and “put my love into it. And I can’t wait for people to experience the clothes. It’s very personal,” she added. Prices range from $48 to $198, and come in sizes from XXS to 4X.
