Joy Behar has been a part of our lives via “The View” family for many years, but this time, we’ll get to learn more about her life through another platform: a book. According to the publisher, it will “please both longtime fans and newcomers alike.”
Joy Behar – To Thrill Fans With Vivid Recreation Of Her Life’s Moments
Who wants to peel back the layers of Behar’s comedy, confidence and business acumen? Oh you do, don’t you? Happily, it’s coming, and it’s set to showcase “Behar’s acute powers of observation and her ability to vividly recreate the little details and fleeting moments that make up a lifetime.“
The nonfiction book will be published by Regolo Press and will see Behar, 81, open up about a variety of topics, including family, friends, romance, bullies, and hair.
However, the book won’t be hitting the shelves until late 2024 or early 2025. As for what fans should expect from the still untitled book, it would see the TV personality taking “aim at everyone and everything, including herself.”
Since its premiere in 1997, Behar has been a part of “The View” and she’s been keeping it real since then. There’s no topic that she shys away from.
In 2020, rumors started emerging that she was retiring and leaving “The View” after over 20 years. This was something she addressed head on in the show, mincing no words to reveal that she has no plans to retire any time soon.
“They’re always talking about me leaving the show, but I’m not leaving the show. Rumors of my retirement have been greatly exaggerated,” she said at the time.
She did admit that she considered retirement at one point, but didn’t know what to do with her time if she did go down that path.
“Here’s the thing, what am I going to do? This pandemic has changed the game. At one point, you think, ‘Gee, I could retire and take a cruise around the world.’ I won’t even watch reruns of Love Boat at this point. So where am I going to go? What am I going to do? I need to be on television.”
