The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) seems to be coming up with all kinds of reasons to hate Penelope “Poppy” Nozawa (Romy Park) and Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada). There was also a scene in which Poppy seemed terrified of anyone talking to Li on her behalf. Could this be due to a much bigger secret that Poppy and Li have been keeping despite their rivalry? B&B spoilers reveal that ever since Luna came to Forrester Creations, she has gotten close to Ridge “RJ” Forrester, Jr. (Joshua Hoffman). In fact, it was RJ that gave Luna the courage to stand up to Li.

Even though Luna says that her mother and aunt never got along, she seems just as confused as everyone else about the reason why.

Now, Luna isn’t the only person in her family that is perplexed by Li’s reaction to her niece being at Forrester Creations. Li’s own son, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is also questioning the matriarch’s behavior.

During a recent episode, Poppy went to see her daughter at Forrester Creations. Poppy expressed how proud she was of Luna. Afterward, Poppy ran into Li, and a confrontation ensued.

Poppy seemed to feel awful about Li’s troubles… both in the past as well as more recently. When Poppy tried to apologize and reached out for an embrace, Li pushed her sister away.

Luna was frustrated as she wondered why Li was acting like her mother instead of her aunt. Luna brought up that Li has no say in what she does for work or where she lives.

That could have been a big clue. Is Li’s rage not really about Poppy, but perhaps it is about the doctor’s own past?

Perhaps Luna isn’t even Poppy’s daughter. Perhaps Li had an affair and got pregnant. Li might have been able to cover up the pregnancy.

After all, if anyone was going to expect one of the sisters to get pregnant out of wedlock, it would have been Poppy and not Li. Li was the mature, responsible, ethical sister. Poppy was the wild one.

Now in a traditional Asian family like Poppy and Li’s, an unwed pregnancy could be considered quite shameful. Maybe Poppy took the newborn and claimed her as her own.

Perhaps Li was going to give the child away and Poppy stopped her. While Poppy’s intentions might have been good, that could explain Li’s rage and desperation to keep Luna out of sight.

Maybe as Luna got older, she started to resemble her biological father too much. Maybe Li pushed Poppy and Luna away out of guilt rather than anger.

Maybe Li was worried about Luna and Finn’s bond as the children started to get older. In any case, both Poppy and Li seem to be hiding something and it’s connected to both Finn and Luna.
