Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Thursday February 20: Thomas Gets Down On One Knee, Shocks Zoe With Marriage Proposal

On the Thursday, February 20, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) debate her brother’s true motives for holding a family dinner. Liam is positive that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is up to something.

Steffy supposes that Thomas could have true feelings for Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). She believes that Thomas is going the extra mile to make his new girlfriend feel accepted by the family. Steffy admits that she’s still uncomfortable working with Zoe after the part she played in the baby mix-up.

Steffy and Liam leave Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington) with the babysitter. When the sitter expresses interest in dating Thomas, Liam advises her to steer clear. Steffy chastens him for airing family business.

The Forresters greet their first guest at Thomas’ dinner party. Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) is less than thrilled to see Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) darken her doorstep. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is happy to see his wife until she starts badmouthing his son. Brooke only agreed to come because she doesn’t trust Thomas as far as Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) is concerned.

Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) pitches a fit about having to attend a party with Zoe. Douglas wants to have dinner with Thomas, Hope, and Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) as a family. Hope promises Douglas dinner another night. Douglas wants his mommy and daddy to be together. Hope says that Douglas will always be her special little guy.

Zoe walks into the Forrester home with trepidation about whether they will accept her. Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn welcome her. Thomas promises Zoe a special night and kisses her in front of Douglas and Hope. Ridge watches proudly—he hasn’t seen his son this happy in a long time. Liam watches with suspicion—every move Thomas makes is to manipulate Hope. Brooke warns Hope that Thomas is using his so-called relationship with Zoe to get a reaction out of Hope and Douglas.

Brooke tells Thomas that she came to the party to keep an eye on him. He “accidentally” forgets and offers alcoholic Brooke a drink. Brooke cautions Zoe that she is in for a big letdown when Thomas hurts her.

Quinn advises Thomas to dial back his displays of affection. People are starting to think he’s putting on a show.  Brooke and Ridge bicker over Thomas’ true intentions.  Steffy confronts Thomas to find out what he’s up to. Thomas asks his sister to cut him a little slack. Thomas says he’s trying to make dreams come true.

Thomas makes a major announcement. He apologizes for his mistakes and thanks his family and Zoe for supporting him. Zoe is the key to his happiness. Douglas looks on in horror as Thomas drops to one knee and asks Zoe to marry him.
