One of Gil’s drug dealers was arrested and Ava refused to steal Harris’ key to the SPD evidence room, she wasn’t going to take advantage of her and Harris’ relationship.

Ava’s falling for Harris, and it gives her courage to stand up to the henchman Clyde Weston (James Read) put over her as her boss.

Ava’s already betraying herself, she wanted to go straight but now she’s in this impossible situation, with Clyde threatening to kill her son if she doesn’t play along.

But she doesn’t want to jeopardize what she is having with Harris either, it’s hard enough to have to conceal what she’s doing for Clyde.

Then Gil won’t take no for an answer and tries to sexually assault her, and she has no choice but to defend herself, with deadly force.

DOOL Spoilers – Harris Michaels Is Stunned

By the time Harris finds Ava, he’s stunned to see her standing over Gil’s motionless, likely dead body-and she confesses that Gil tried to rape her.

Naturally, Harris is upset but honestly relieved she had a gun and knows how to use it. Ava wants to tell Harris the whole truth about Clyde blackmailing her with Tripp Johnson’s (Lucas Adams) life to run his drug empire while he’s behind bars, but she’s too afraid.

Clyde has a whole network of henchmen on the outside that he can task with killing Tripp at any time, and she doesn’t want to risk it.

Tripp is her everything and she simply can’t risk his life by coming clean to Harris, even though the SPD would put Tripp into protection.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ava Vitali Worries About Retaliation

Ava of course, has to go to the police station with Harris to be questioned, but even there she worries about Clyde retaliating against Tripp.

She covers with Harris, worrying no one will believe her story about killing her boss defending herself against rape, and that’s unfortunately the reality facing many women.

Ava’s other reality that she worries will cause her not to be believed is that she was in the mob for many years and part of a mob family.

Unfortunately, her criminal history does precede her, and it’s a liability for her which is why Clyde interfered with her going straight.

People don’t trust her because of that criminal history, and she’s not sure anyone but Harris will believe her now!
