The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers for Tuesday, October 2: Billy Is Voted Out Of Jabot – Mariah Drops A Bomb On Sharon

Today the role of Summer Newman is played by Bayley Corman. The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the Tuesday October 2 episode of Y&R kicks off with Billy (Jason Thompson) sitting anxiously as the board casts their vote of confidence.

Billy Pleads With His Family

But, before Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) can read the votes, Billy ask them to think it through admitting he made a mistake and has a plan and remedy.

He is sure Traci (Beth Maitland) will support him, but she stands and says she is sorry but is willing to serve as CEO of Jabot.

Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) joins her parents as they receive a gift at the door from Neil (Kristoff St. John). She goes upstairs to prepare for the wedding, not wanting to get overly hopeful; but Nick (Joshua Morrow) reassures Sharon (Sharon Case) that this is it.

At Crimson, Summer wants to know if Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told Sharon about Nick’s fling with her mother, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Summer tells Mariah, “good luck with keeping the secret as its burning a hole right through you!”

Lola (Sasha Calle) helps big brother, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) move into his apartment above Crimson, as Arturo (Jason Canela) learns where he is moving into; helping lug boxes, saying it sounds like a permanent move; neither brother comments more on it.

Nick And Sharon Prepare For The Wedding

Meanwhile, Nick and Sharon are enjoying their last moments alone before the hustle and bustle of their big day.Mariah confronts Summer, feeling she dragged her into this on purpose, hoping Mariah would be the one to bust up the wedding. Summer reminds her that she wasn’t the one who cheated on Sharon and tells Mariah to keep quiet as Mariah reminds her this is still her family.

Summer says she grew up with these people and if she lost it every time her parents botched it romantically, she’d be in Fairview! Summer denies being emotionally shut down and suggests Mariah be the same way, but to make a decision soon. Faith comes down with Christian, as Sharon and Faith go upstairs to glam it up for the wedding.

Billy Confronts Traci

Billy confronts Traci, who feels Billy’s health is the most important and he shouldn’t worry about who is in charge. He congratulates Ashley (Eileen Davidson) on “snowing” Traci. He reveals all the sly things Ashley did but everyone defends Ashley’s actions and tells him to focus and beat his addiction. He tells them he would never do anything to sell out his own family for a job and storms out with Phyllis in tow.  Ashley says they need to vote for Traci as CEO – she tells them “NO!” slamming the door behind her.

Arturo wants to know about Rey’s wife, Mia. He doesn’t want Rey’s manipulations but Lola knows that he’s big on handing out advice, but she is a grown up and can tell him to b ack off. She teases him about getting in a work out as he has too much Abby (Melissa Ordway) and not enough free weights.

Mariah overhears Nick talking to Christian about the new house and the happy and amazing life they will have; telling him everything will be perfect as long as his family is together.

Traci Is The New Jabot CEO

The vote happens at Jabot with a vote of 6-2 Traci is the new CEO. She says this is very temporary and this is the right thing and feels Billy will agree eventually. Lauren tells her Fenmore’s appreciates her as Abby leaves too. Jack reveals to his sisters that he gave Billy the money, not knowing he was embezzling from Jabot. Kyle (Michael Mealor) is surprised he would throw that kind of cash around on faith.

Ashley is forced to reveal why she waited this long; Traci hugs her and goes for a cup of tea. Kyle feels it couldn’t have gone better but Ashley says she would feel the same way if she had ice water in her veins like him!

Lauren and Abby meet at Crimson, hoping Abby will help emphasize how Fenmore’s is a key asset. Abby agrees although she is more worried about Billy. Lola jokes with Abby how weird it is to see Rey and Arturo getting along; and is more than willing to interrupt them for Abby.

Christian goes upstairs so Nick gets a chance to chat with Mariah. Nick admits that he has been in a lot of relationships, but with all this wisdom, he feels he is going to be the partner he could have been from the beginning. Mariah asks him if there is any unfinished business with any of the other insignificant women? He is curious why she would ask that but says he is all in; always and forever.

Ashley is stuck on Kyle’s lack of concern for his uncle. He feels everyone is cutting Billy too much slack. He won’t kick him down, but wants Ashley to admit she is happy with the outcome. She keeps denying it. He reminds her that she can focus on family but if she wants to sit in the CEO position, she can’t do that.Abby and Arturo talk about their family problems briefly, but welcome the optimism of the wedding and time on the dance floor together.

Phyllis And Jack Comfort Billy

Phyllis finds Billy at the GCAC bar, who knows she has his back.; she will make sure the money is back in Jabot by tomorrow. Just as Billy says he wants nothing to do with anything Abbott, Jack (Peter Bergman) tells him that is too bad as he will always have his back.

Lola loved seeing Rey and Arturo together, but he doesn’t want any more help from her. He leaves, just as Kyle walks in. He joins her for one of the cupcakes Rey just delivered her. Kyle is thrilled one of his promotions came through. Lola is happy something amazing happened that she wanted for years. He asked her to celebrate with him tonight, but she turns him down, making him feel foolish for assuming. She tells him she is free tomorrow, but he tells her sarcastically he is busy!

Jack puts their drinks on his tab, lecturing them for withholding some information about where Billy got the money from; Billy agrees that Jack has every right to do so after bailing him out with a quarter of a million dollars. Jack only wants him to get treatment and Phyllis’ help to make it happen.

Jack reminds him that his whole family loves him and will help him quit this again. Billy thanks her for getting Jack off his butt, but Phyllis said Jack is right; he needs to be in a treatment facility. Billy doesn’t like what he sees happening between her and Jack – forming an alliance. She thinks about them loving Billy, but Billy thinks its more for Jack.

Billy feels its amazing that Phyllis is still there every morning when he wakes up. He thinks its delusional thinking to think they will put him back as CEO when he gets back from rehab. He will promote her if that happens and she attempts to convince him to be her plus-1 for Nick and Sharon’s wedding.

Mariah And Faith Bond

Mariah talks to Faith about how she’s feeling about the wedding, who admits how nervous she really is. Her parents seem happy now and she had her hopes up before and they break up and she wants people to extra super sure before they get married. Mariah agrees with her little sister, hugging her.Traci looks at the Jabot yacht when Ashley joins her in the CEO office. Traci is already talking about finding someone more qualified for the job. Ashley has contracts and pending projects for Traci to sign.

Traci wants to take them home and read them at home as Ashley offers to help; Traci says Kyle will be there too. Ashley feels a bit offended that Billy would throw it out there that she was manipulating her. Traci says Billy is bitter and hurt and it was just as insulting to her because she is no one’s puppet! Ashley throws it in her face about voting Billy intern CEO, Ashley suggests sitting in that chair is very intoxicating and addictive and Traci might not want to leave.

Phyllis encourages Billy to go, showing everyone that he hasn’t been crushed. He is making healthy choices to demolish those demons. Billy jokes about her making a career in faith healing. She tells him she will be miserable without him.Jack apologizes to Nick about being late, reassuring him after a family emergency kept him late, but he would not miss this as he has never seen Nick this happy.

Mariah Tells Sharon About Nick’s Cheating

Sharon is happy that her wedding dress averted disaster as nail polish fell on on the floor. Mariah stops an excited Sharon, saying she doesn’t know how to start but she heard something and she doesn’t know how to handle it, but after talking to Faith… Sharon assures her that even though she has been through so much and so many broken homes but she has an amazing big sister. Mariah says the thing she has heard is about Nick and Phyllis. Sharon stands and says she doesn’t understand, asking, “What about them?” Mariah blurts out that they slept together a few weeks ago.
