The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that head writer and executive producer Josh Griffith discussed Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and the Baby Eve Howard storyline. Although Claire has been arrested, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) can’t help but get closer to her alleged “dead” daughter. The head writer discussed the storyline and explained “grooming a psychopath.”

Y&R spoilers reveal that the Newman family survived their harrowing ordeal in Oregon. Although Claire was arrested, Jordan remains on the loose. While Claire is in jail waiting to be arraigned, the Newman family returned to Genoa City.

Victoria, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) all seemed shell-shocked. In fact, they received a visitor, but no mention was made of their ordeal at that time.

Later, Nikki went to a meeting and explained she relapsed, but it wasn’t her fault. Hearing how that sounded, Nikki clarified that she had been kidnapped and forced to ingest alcohol.

Of course, that didn’t sound much saner than her first explanation. So, the hostage situation will continue to cause aftereffects in unexpected ways.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman’s Connection

Even though Claire has been arrested, Victoria and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) can’t stop wondering about the woman’s claim. Victoria and Cole keep talking about how Claire can’t be baby Eve.

The former couple keeps insisting that it’s impossible. However, Cole mentioned that Claire still seems insistent on it. That will eventually lead to Claire getting a DNA test to see if Jordan’s claim was true.

This will cause a lot of problems for Victor and Nikki. Victoria will want a relationship with Claire despite her sins. Victor and Nikki will really fight Victoria on this for understandable reasons.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that the head writer spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the storyline. The scribe explained,

“’… what if she raised this child to believe she had been abandoned by the Newmans, and she had literally spent 26 years grooming a psychopath?’ I found that fascinating. I said, ‘But she’s got to be redeemable; the child has to be redeemable. She has to have been totally manipulated, but the aunt can be as bats***t crazy as we want!’ I said, ‘I want to go all out! I want [Jordan] to be totally Silence of the Lambs crazy.”

Y&R Spoilers – Dangerous Future?

Even though Claire might have been groomed to be a psychopath, it is teased she can be redeemable.

Now, the scribe didn’t say Claire would be redeemed… just that she is written to be “redeemable.”

With that being said, how does one undo 26 years of brainwashing? It won’t be done overnight, that’s for sure. So, expect a lot more craziness and chaos from Claire as well as Jordan!
