She says that she doesn’t like all the commercialism and trappings involved with weddings, the exorbitant expenses, and marriage itself – over 50% of marriages end in divorce anyway!

He wasn’t sure whether to proceed or not! Maybe he should just return the engagement ring and get his money back with Molly having such a negative attitude about even marriage itself – that would even rule out an elopement! TJ is left being afraid to ask, she made such a big deal about it!

GH Spoilers – TJ Ashford Decides To Set Up Another Dinner Date And Make It Very Special

TJ decides to set up another dinner date with Molly and make it very special and very romantic. He’s even a little afraid to do that since Molly may be put off by the extravagance! But he thinks maybe giving her a few days to get over the stress of helping her friend with her wedding might help. So the two get together again. He orders a fancy cake, champagne and everything else he thinks should go with dinner when a marriage proposal.

He proposes, offers her the ring, and Molly gets a sour look on her face over the ring, the champagne, and the fancy cake – even though it was only a piece for each of them! She can’t understand how TJ could be so extravagant when there are poor people in the world and even right there in Port Charles on Charles Street, dying for a cup of water and a piece of bread!

All this extravagance and the money spent on it could have been given to the homeless shelter, and should have! She’s not sure anymore if TJ and she are heading down the same road in life! She’s very conflicted not only about marriage itself but about TJ, their ideologies seem to be at cross purposes!

General Hospital Spoilers – TJ Ashford Is Stunned – And He Will Get Some Sage Advice

TJ is stunned – and he will get some sage advice about the relationship and what to do – he likely will be told to give Molly some time and space. Considering they have been living together for quite some time, that may involve one of them moving out!

His mother, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) had not been sure about giving him her blessing to ask Molly to marry him, suggesting maybe they take a break and go out with other people to make sure they are right for each other, and now he can see why – sometimes even when a couple lives together they aren’t real with each other and when the subject of marriage comes up is when the truth reveals itself.

But Molly, after giving TJ such a tirade may feel like she’s lost him forever too – when she’d made such a big deal about not believing in forever!
