General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus Renault Blackmails Michael Corinthos, Wants In On ELQ Business

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate now that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) knows that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is hiding something from his father Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) he’ll work overtime to use it against him.

As he has no one left in Port Charles to do his bidding, now that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) has been shot and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyeal Grey) is in prison, he is more desperate than ever to have an ally or “friends”; looks like Michael may fit that bill.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Is Desperately Seeking Redemption

GH spoilers hint that Cyrus continues to be the town pariah. He’s trying desperately to mend fences with everyone around him, but people are skeptical (rightfully, so). His sister Laura is hopeful that her half-brother has changed but is not completely convinced.

This has him completely jealous of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). After all, Sonny is just as much of a criminal as Cyrus is/was but has the respect of Port Charles (for the most part). Not to mention the fact that Corinthos has a special brotherly bond with Laura.

GH Spoilers – Michael Corinthos Could Be The Key To His Plan

Cyrus won’t blackmail Michael to do anything that involves bringing his father down. After all, the key to holding Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) secret over his head is so that he doesn’t lose Sonny’s trust. As such, he’ll ask Michael for an “in” at ELQ.

After all, he clearly wants to erase his criminal image within the little town and what better way to do this than be connected to a reputable company like ELQ?

Michael will have to do a ton of work and damage control to swing something like this, but in the land of soaps, nothing is impossible.

There’s also a chance that Cyrus wants to get closer to Michael just to get under Sonny’s skin. It bothers him that Corinthos and Laura are so close, that a part of Renault’s blackmail could encompass simply getting to know each other better and spreading the word around town that he is, indeed, a changed man.
