Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have touted 2024 as their year of redemption. And after a failed podcast and falling popularity ratings, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could use some redemption. However, a royal expert explained why Meghan and Harry will fail at trying to redeem themselves in 2024. 

And after pointing out that the Duchess and Duke of Sussex keep producing grandiose promises without any actions, the expert also noted the royal family’s recent power move. Get all the details below.

Prince Harry Loves His PR Team’s Fancy Phrases

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry regularly use a public relations team located in Hollywood who deserve credit for their extravagant phrases.

And that team recently came up with proclaiming 2024 as the year when the Duchess and Duke of Sussex will enjoy a year of redemption. But royal expert Phil Dampier scoffed at that boast to the Sun.

And Dampier noted, “Harry and Meghan have let it be known that they see 2024 as their year of redemption, to which my reaction is good luck with that. It’s a trite phrase dreamt up by their Hollywood PR people and in reality means very little. Actions speak louder than words,” he added. 

And the royal expert issued a warning. “The Sussexes need to do things which will convince the public on both sides of the Pond that they want to redeem themselves, not just talk about it,” added Dampier.

Royal Family Comes Up With Power Move

And Christmas Day sent a signal to the world on Christmas Day. Dampier pointed out how King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton attended church in Sandringham. And for the first time in decades, Sarah Ferguson received an invitation and attended.

“The royals put on a show of unity at Christmas, with even Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Fergie being allowed to walk to church and join them for lunch. The message was clear,” said Phil. And he noted, “Everyone was welcome except Harry and Meghan.”

As a result of that power move and show of unity, Dampier believes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can’t compete with Kate and William as well as the rest of the royal family. And he noted, “I think the penny has finally dropped with them [the Sussexes] that they can never compete with an ancient institution admired around the world, particularly the good will still lingering from the late Queen’s reign.”

Meghan Markle Needs To Stop ‘Moaning’

But in particular, Phil noted that William and Kate have soared in popularity even as Harry and Meghan have fallen. And he pointed out, “Even in America people are fed up with their constant moaning and want them to do something positive. Just turning up at the occasional charity event or being seen at concerts and baseball games isn’t enough.”

As for how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could redeem themselves in 2024? Phil noted, “There are no Invictus Games this year – Harry’s one success story – so that won’t help him.” But he predicted that Meghan “will probably relaunch herself with some sort of lifestyle business similar to Gwyneth Paltrow.”

And the royal expert added, “Let’s hope she goes down that route rather than writing her own book, which would be another bombshell for all concerned. But she is clearly planning big things for herself, maybe in film or TV production, or even some acting.” However, so far all of Meghan’s claims of major projects have failed to turn into reality.
