General Hospital Spoilers: Alum Kim Delaney Reportedly Sued For Criminal Hit and Run

General Hospital (GH) news reveals that Emmy Award winning alum Kim Delaney (Jackie Templeton) is in hot water with two court cases against her pending.

According to TMZ the former NYPD Blue star must appear in court for two cases. In one she is named in an accident case filed by a man named Dzhamal Badalov.

He claims that Delaney hit his motorcycle when he was stopped at a red light in Los Angeles in November of 2022.

According to court documents, Badalov maintains that witnesses saw Delaney driving erratically, swerving in and out of lanes, before the crash. The outlet reports that bystanders stopped Delaney from fleeing the scene.

Badalov claims that Delaney appeared intoxicated when she got out of her car and made a phone call to someone who “offered to pay off Badalov and not call the police.”

Badalov refused the offer and is suing for damages. Additionally, he claims that the person on the phone told Delaney to leave the scene, which she then did.

TMZ further states “Here’s the other element to this … we did some digging and found that a criminal case in L.A. has, in fact, been opened against Kim — and she’s been charged with hit and run.

The claims made against Kim in a police report from that night — obtained by TMZ — essentially echo what’s alleged in the lawsuit. She’s due in court next week.”

In yet another twist to the tale, reports say that “A good friend of Delaney’s, who requested anonymity” told them “She has been under the influence of a controlling man in her life, who obviously gave her very bad advice that night on the phone. It’s my hope that this serves as the wakeup call she needs to sever those ties and get her life back on track.”

Delaney made her soap debut in 1981 as Jenny Gardner on All My Children. Jenny’s young romance with Greg (Laurence Lau) was one of daytime’s first supercouples. She left in 1984 at the height of her popularity, after her character died in a jet ski explosion.

She found success in prime time and in 2020, GH hired her to play Jackie Templeton, the role that launched Demi Moore’s career in 1982. Delaney was last seen in Port Charles, New York in 2021.
