People are not happy that Alyssa Milano‘s net worth is basically in the millions and she’s asking her fans for help to raise $10,000 for her son’s baseball team.

Mostly widely recognized for her starring role in “Charmed,” Alyssa Milano recently came under fire when she shared a GoFundMe page for her son’s baseball team.

“My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip,” the actress shared with fans on X. “Any amount would be so greatly appreciated.”

Milano then shared a link from May 2023 that seeks to raise $10,000 for the team’s travel fund.

“Your donation will go to travel costs, uniforms, and dues for families,” the page said. “We also might use your donations for pins or novelty items to make our tournaments memorable experiences beyond the field.”

As of the time the backlash began, the fundraiser had already raised $8,000. Fans were not happy that she asked them to pitch in when she could have easily donated to the course with some of the money she’s made from her successful acting career.

“You are a damned Millionaire,” one X post said. “Pay for your son’s trip yourself.”

Another wrote, “Girl they still play ‘Charmed’ on TNT.”

In reply to the critics, she explained, “I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.

The kids also do fundraising themselves – car washes, movie nights, and many other fun things!”

She added: “Thank you to all who have contributed to the gofundme! You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families.”

Some fans did come to her rescue however, with one meaningfully asking, “Is Milano supposed to pay for everything her son’s baseball team does?”

Alyssa Milano isn’t the only famous figure who’s faced criticisms for sharing a friend or an acquaintance’s GoFundMe. Others, including Kylie Jenner and Megan Fox, have faced similar backlash.
