Back in 2018, Kim Kardashian was married to Kanye West. The couple attended the annual Kardashian Christmas party.

It was a happier time for the family. Kim posted a throwback photo that featured their children. Kanye had a big smile on his face as he held his children.

At the time, North was five years old. She wore a fringe dress with black tights and boots. Her hair was pulled up in a high ponytail. She also wore bright red lipstick. Kim admitted that it was a mistake to allow her daughter to wear makeup.

She spoke to Bustle while promoting her new SKKN makeup line. The reality star revealed that her six-year-old daughter hasn’t been allowed to wear makeup. Kim kind of feels like a hypocrite since she allowed North to wear lipstick at such a young age.

“My little’s one too little and I don’t let her. I look back and there are times when I remember I let [North] wear a red lip once for Christmas,” Kim Kardashian told the publication. “Would I do now that? Probably not.”

Is Kim Kardashian A Hypocrite?

She’s been criticized for her parenting choices, especially when it comes to North. Last year, she filed trademarks so that her daughter could start a toy line and skincare brand. Some fans argued that North was too young to use skincare. Others said that Kim should let her kids just be kids.

Back in 2018, Kim Kardashian was a bit of a hypocrite. She was defensive about her decision to let North wear makeup. At the time, she took to X, formerly Twitter, to fight back at the criticism.

“She picked it though! It’s a special occasion!” Kim Kardashian posted at the time.

North West is now 10 years old. She promoted her mom’s new makeup line on TikTok. North promised her followers that she would give an “honest makeup review” as she played around with the palette. Kim casually captioned the TikTok video: “What my daughter does on my phone ha ha ha ha ha ha.”
