Princess Tiana is finally gearing up to take her rightful place at Walt Disney World theme parks in Orlando, Florida. Fifteen years after The Princess and the Frog animated flick debuted, the starring character in the movie will get her very own ride.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure water ride replaces the popular Splash Mountain, and it is being said, the thrill will bring the 2009 film back to life.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Will Offer Disney Guests A Taste Of New Orleans
Located within the “Frontierland” at Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park, construction has officially started!
It’s being reported that riders will be transported to Tiana’s home in New Orleans, as the ride combines music, water, animation, and so much more.
There will be voiceovers from the original cast, including Tiana herself, Anika Noni Rose, and some cute and sweet critters that offer insight, singing, and dancing.
During the ride, Princess Tiana will be joined by alligator Louis, who explains the roots of the music heard throughout the “journey”. A band that includes a rabbit, beaver, turtle, otter, and others will play instruments, and sing along, as riders anticipate that 50-foot log drop at the end!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – Debut Time!
Just like in the movie, Disney goers will take a ride into the princess’s mind and dreams as she works overtime to make them come true.
During Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the princess is holding a party for Mardi Gras as a way to thank her family, loved ones, and neighbors for all their support of her business venture and its success.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is sure to become a fav of first-time Disney guests and long-time ones, too!
While they’ve just started building it, reports reveal that the ride will officially debut at Walt Disney World in Orlando this summer, and Disneyland Park in California will be open to ride-goers later this year.
