The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam’s Kansas Trip Triggers Questions – Did Victor Murder Alyssa’s Father?

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is back near his mother’s farm in Kansas on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The property is in disrepair, so Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) are staying at a bed and breakfast with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

The trip was part of a plan to get away from Genoa City, Wisconsin. It also serves as part of preparations for Adam and Chelsea to eventually get remarried.

Intriguingly, ‘Chadam’ just decided to go all in to get Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) because he wouldn’t allow Adam to temporarily run Newman Enterprises in his absence. That preceded the write-in of Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico), a never-before-seen childhood friend of Adam.

Y&R Spoilers – Alyssa Montalvo’s Father Had Problems

Apparently Alyssa’s father operated in the underground economy as a loan shark and served time in prison. His death was believed to have resulted from a fall but may have happened through devious means.

Adam learns that Victor was in Kansas during the period where Alyssa’s father died. Grossman’s character again bent on downing his father, and Chelsea finds the timing of Victor’s presence at the farm to potentially be connected to the seeming tragedy.

How many times have fans seen Adam and Victor at loggerheads through the years? Just when it seemed as though a family thaw had arrived, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) prodded Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) into taking the top spot at Newman Enterprises while Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) recovers.

Adam’s latest overreaction justifies Victor’s guarded attitude about the son he and Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) had. If Adam had only held his tongue about Nick’s last-minute acceptance with a sense of grace, he would have demonstrated to Victor that progress is being made. Instead, the childlike outburst furthered misgivings.

Viewers could have been presented with a fresh direction, as it would have been interesting to see how Adam handled renewed responsibilities at Newman. That won’t be the storyline now, which is regrettable.

Y&R Spoilers – New Information Enables Different Tactic

Nick used Victor’s weakened health condition to attack his father during the J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) arc. Dark Horse became the business weapon Nick applied in his attempt to bring Victor down.

It appears as though Adam will either believe or actually obtain information that links Victor to another man’s death. He’ll likely run with the intel as the next part of this bloodline skirmish.

Whether rumor or truth, a vengeful Adam, supported by his revived love, Chelsea, is aiming to teach Victor a lesson. And so the pattern of this dysfunctional father-son relationship continues on Y&R.
