One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery on Hallmark Mystery

According to the official synopsis, Hannah Swensen (Sweeney) has been asked to teach a baking class at a local college. However, her equipment is tampered with, leading to an explosion that the fire department rules as an accident.

However, a colleague ends up dead and Hannah begins to put together the puzzle of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the murder, while on the list of suspects herself.

Hannah leans on her friends and family while investigating the murder and ends up on a different side of the law and order when she crosses paths with Lake Eden’s prosecuting attorney, Chad Norton (Webster).

Alison Sweeney returns as Sleuthers’ favorite baker-turned-amateur sleuth, Hannah Swensen, who also writes and executive produces the movie.

She is renowned for her many Hallmark movies, including Love & Jane, and also for her former role in Days of Our Lives.

In the movie, Alison reunites with her The Wedding Veil co-star, Victor Webster, known for his many Hallmark roles, including Mystery on Mistletoe Lane and A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe.

Sweeney also reunites with her Hannah Swensen co-stars, Gabriel Hogan (Tacoma FD), Barbara Niven (Ms. Christmas Comes to Town), Tess Atkins (The Flash), and Lisa Durupt (Heartland).

According to the official IMDb page for the movie, other cast members include Hilary Jardine (Van Helsing, Upload) as Stacey, Oliver Rice (Altered Carbon, Chesapeake Shores) as Bradford Ramsey.

The movie is directed by Shannon Kohli from a script penned by Sweeney. The script is based on the book Apple Turnover Murder by Joanne Fluke.
