In just 3 weeks the couples will have to decide if they want to stay together. Meka is happy about her marriage but admits it has been hard. She watches Michael clip a box of grass at their living room table. She looks annoyed.
Katie and Derrick are still working on whether or not they are compatible. She asks him if he wants a family and kids or does he want to accomplish all of his dreams. He has too many dreams, she tells him. He thinks she isn’t being supportive. She gets angry. He can’t possibly do it all. She storms off. He chases after her. He wants to have both. She doesn’t feel secure able starting a feeling with him.
Mindy meets with a family therapist while Zach meets with the show’s pastor. Mindy shares that Zach has been talking to one of her friends he met at a wedding. She can’t get the truth from either one of them about their relationship.
Meanwhile, Zach tells the pastor that there is nothing going on with Mindy’s friend. Mindy, meanwhile, is willing to give him a second chance while Zach swears he can do better. The pastor doesn’t think he is being truthful. He tells Zach not to mess with Mindy. Zach shares that he can act better.
The therapist tells Mindy that she needs to make demands on Zach. Mindy wants to see him more, wants to know about his relationship with her friend, she also wants him to move in and to really try.
Zach and Mindy meet. He admits that the pastor was tough on him but he deserved it. Mindy shares that she was on the fence today. She doesn’t trust him since he has been talking to her friend. She asks to see the messages. He deleted them. Mindy also knows her friend deleted them. That is a red flag to her. She tells him she isn’t confident but will try again with him if he gives her transparency, time spent together, he needs to tell her why he called her a liar. He agrees that he wants to try.
Austin meets with the pastor while Jessica meets with the therapist. As a couple, they are both very happy. Jessica wants to hear the 3 big words but doesn’t want to say it first. The therapist thinks she needs to share her feelings. Austin shares in his session that a breach of trust would ruin their relationship, that is the only thing that may cause them to not maintain their marriage.
Jessica comes home. She and Austin start with a glass of wine. He talks about a breach of trust as being the only reason he wouldn’t stay with her. Jessica is about to share her feelings but stops. She isn’t ready.
Michael meets with the pastor. He shares how he and Meka are opposites but are working to make them a strength. Meka shares with the therapist that she feels like she cannot open up. She feels like he isn’t being honest, even about the littlest of things. Michael thinks they have a lot to work out.
