Good Morning America (GMA) on-air personality Ginger Zee is adored by fans for her bubbly personality. Still, an ABC insider recently revealed there’s more to Ginger than GMA viewers see.
“GMA” Drama – Ginger Zee’s ‘Real’ Personality Exposed By Media Executive
An ABC media executive insider recently opened up about Rob Marciano’s firing, and a number of people have confirmed there was tension between him and Zee. With that being said, it is being alleged that Marciano’s temper was one of the main reasons he lost his ABC job.
Still, the inside source tells The New York Post that Zee can be just as “hot-headed” as Rob is, and “nasty”. The ABC exec notes that Zee “brought the worst” out of Rob.
While the source adds that they are not giving Marciano “a pass”, they add that “it’s sad” that the two’s personalities did not work well together, considering what a passion they both had for the “science of weather”.
The source went on to say that Ginger “treated him (Rob) as a beta, and she was the alpha”. They add, “But they were much more peers in terms of experience, more than Ginger was with Sam [Champion].”
The source also stated that Zee is a ‘know-it-all’, and “If you say something she disagrees with, she references her Twitter (X) followers, saying, ‘You are wrong, my followers on Twitter loved it.’”
“GMA” Drama – Ginger Zee Is Defended By Another Source
Despite the claims from ABC media executive insider, another source close to Zee claims that Ginger is a “a collaborative, inclusive and hard-working leader who is well respected by her colleagues and has never had a complaint about her working style.” The insider also implies that anyone who goes against this notion is, “sexist.”
Even though fans don’t know exactly why Marciano was canned, it likely was not because of Zee. A number of sources have confirmed he would “lose his cool” during meetings, so it seems like anger management may have been the reason.
At the age of 55, Rob Marciano left his post at Entertainment Tonight in 2014 to join ABC’s GMA morning show. He also acted as a CNN meteorologist for over a decade prior to that.
