NCIS Hawaii: Vanessa Lachey Apologizes To Cast Members

Vanessa Lachey is not taking the NCIS: Hawaii cancellation well.  Like NCIS fans at home, the actress was devastated and blindsided when CBS pulled the plug on the primetime drama.  Lachey took to social media and shared a heartfelt message for her NCIS co-stars.  Keep reading for all the details, NCIS Hawaii spoilers ahead!

Vanessa Lachey is well-known or her numerous hosting gigs on television.  Love Is Blind, Top Chef Junior, Miss USA, and I Can See Your Voice are just a few examples. 

Over the years Vanessa has had a few guest roles and cameos on TV, but NCIS Hawaii was her first major primetime role and she KILLED it.

Lachey debuted as lead Jane Tennant in 2021, and proceeded to appear in over 40 episodes in the past three years. 

It’s not surprising that Vanessa became so close with her co-stars on the set, after all it was her first major acting role and the longest that she has ever stayed with the same cast and crew.

The Jane Tennant portrayer took to Instagram and shared another emotional message about the cancellation. 

The NCIS actress wrote, “I wish we had more time, I’m sorry we don’t. I wish we had a proper good-bye, I’m sorry we didn’t. I know we ALL are connected deeper than any TV show. I will go to the ends of the earth for my cast & crew! If you come across ANY of them… hire them! You won’t be disappointed. Salt of the earth people!”  Vanessa ended the post, “Love Always, Your Sweet Jane.”

NCIS fans started a petition to stop the network from pulling the series, but it seemed to fall upon deaf ears. 

There are already rumors floating around that Vanessa Lachey may take Jane Tennant on the road and pop up on another NCIS series, but as of right now they are nothing more than rumors.

    It’s amazing that the network will take off series that people love to put shows on with people no one wants to watch. Have to go to Pluto and watch the ones I want.

    I like this show, it is the only NCIS show I watch. Networks have made bad decisions ever since TV began!

    Hawaii had serious potential to be the best NCIS franchise since the original. Serious case of rectal-cranial inversion at the network offices.

    They “lose sleep” over these decisions. Riiiiight. I believe that about as much as I do political campaign promises…

    I’m sure they’ll come out with more sitcoms telling the same worn-out jokes that have been around since I Love Lucy, MASH, and The Honeymooners. And more overwrought melodramatic “unreality shows”. Maybe ‘Real House Wives of the Hell’s Angels’…
