In what could be the first incidence of a TLC star catching COVID-19, Daya de Arce has posted on social media that her husband had the lethal bug.
As it spreads around the world, the current coronavirus pandemic isn’t fussy who it touches, including huge stars like Tom Hanks and Idris Elba and various politicians. However, it seems it has affected 90 Day Fiancé stars too. In what could be the first incident of a TLC star catching COVID-19, Daya de Arce posted on social media that hubby Brett Otto had the virus.
90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – star Daya de Arce is busy on social media
As reported by Soap Dirt, Daya has been posting on social media the last couple of days about Brett having contracted COVID-19. Previously, her lighthearted messages had included images of the pair practicing “social distancing” in their home.
While their social media platform is private, Daya and Brett were reportedly communicating with each other, with one of the upstairs and the other downstairs. She also posted a meme about their “bring your own toilet paper” policy.
90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Otto may have caught coronavirus in December 2019
Messaging later got more serious, as it was revealed Brett had possibly contracted COVID-19. According to Brett’s blog, this may have been during December 2019, before the first case was reported in his home state of Washington.
According to Brett, there was a nasty bug doing the rounds in Snohomish Country. He and his friend both became ill before they traveled to the Philippines and South Korea. It was while Otto was there that he experienced a high temperature of 101° F. The 90 Day Fiancé star said at the time he felt like he was dying, while his friend was also very ill, coughing the whole time.
Brett began to recover a little, but then also started a bad cough. When he returned home, he discovered others in his community were also suffering from a flu-like illness. This was when coronavirus was suspected to be the cause.
90 Day Fiancé star has recovered
While Brett was severely ill a couple of months ago, he has reportedly now recovered and is healthy again. It has never officially been confirmed he had COVID-19, but it certainly sounds like he did!

The 90 Day Fiancé couple has led a relatively quiet life since their marriage in 2015 following their appearance in season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? They have managed to keep off the big screen and out of the limelight.
Brett and Daya welcomed baby Isabella in 2017, which delighted Otto’s daughter Cassidy from a former marriage. It looks like the 90 Day Fiancé couple is now healthy and doing well!
