According to her family, Mamie Laverock was hospitalized on May 11 following “a medical emergency” and has been receiving intensive care since that time. However, in an update from Liverock’s parents, Mamie is now on life support after sustaining “life-threatening injuries” after falling from a five-story balcony in the hospital.

Rob and Nicole Compton have started a GoFundMe campaign for Mamie after she suffered “life-threatening injuries” from falling from a balcony. The Comptons shared that their daughter has since undergone multiple surgeries, and is now fighting for her life following the accident over the weekend.

The incident comes just two weeks after the WCTH star was hospitalized after suffering an unspecified medical emergency. Her parents said on Saturday, May 11, “Nicole traveled to Winnipeg to help Mamie, who was having a medical emergency. Nicole was able to get there in time to save her life.”

Initially, Mamie was taken to a Winnipeg hospital but was later transferred to a hospital in Vancouver. Her family said her recovery was unclear at that time but that she was alive and was “showing signs of improvement.”

While Mamie has been under intensive care since that time, her parents shared a heartbreaking health update. The Laverocks explained that she had suffered life-threatening injuries after falling from a fifth-story balcony. Reportedly, the fall came when Mamie was being escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital on Sunday, May 26.

According to Pop Culture, the Laverocks gave another update, writing:

We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories.

She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.

Support for Mamie

Since her hospitalization, Laverock has received messages of support on the GoFundMe campaign, including, “Sending Mamie and all of you our love and strength.” Another message reads, “Stay strong and take care, Mamie.”

Another supportive message on GoFundMe reads, “Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I’m praying for Mamie here in the USA! May God spare her life so that she can finish what God has for her to do!”

Mamie’s co-star on When Calls the Heart, Johannah Newmarch, who plays Molly Sullivan, showed her support on X (formerly Twitter) by linking to the GoFundMe page and writing, “I love this family, my heart is broken. A devastating time for all who care for Mamie. Please help if you can. They need all the support they can get to make it through this.”

Mamie Laverock is best known for her role as Rosaleen Sullivan, daughter of Patrick and Molly Sullivan on When Calls the Heart. The young actress won the Young Artists Award for Best Performance in a TV Series and was also nominated for a Leo for her role on WCTH.

Her latest appearance in the Hallmark series was in three episodes of season 10 when her character returned to Coal Valley after being a nanny for a family in another town.
